Important Notice: ekko Card Program Closure

😥 We have made the difficult decision to close our ekko card program, effective from the 5th of October 2024.

We would like to say thank you for being a part of the ekko community. Our mission has always been to empower you to make sustainable choices and create a positive impact on our planet. While we are closing the card program, we will continue to work with strategic partners to further our mission.

Here is all you need to know about the closure of the ekko account, and answers to some questions you might have about it.

We made the strategic decision to close the ekko card program to focus on partnering with strategic organisations that share our vision for sustainability. This allowed us to amplify our mission and reach more people, creating a greater positive environmental impact.

Following us issuing notices to terminate customer agreements, the ekko card program officially closed on the 5th of October 2024.

If you have a positive balance on your account

If your account has a zero balance – no further action is needed. Your account automatically closed on the 5th of October 2024.

If you have a negative balance on your account

Your funds will continue to be safeguarded by Prepay Technologies Ltd (the issuer of your ekko card) for 6 years.

No, the app was closed in October 2024.

Your funds will remain safeguarded by Prepay Technologies Ltd until you request your refund from us. Prepay Technologies protects your money through a process known as safeguarding. For explanation of how your funds are protected, please visit https://eps.edenred.com/regulatory-information.

Please note, that should funds remain in your ekko account remain unclaimed, these will soon be passed across to Prepay Technologies to manage and you may be required to take additional steps such as verifying your identity in order to have the funds returned to you.
